Exactly What Is "Beyond"?
What is the purpose of Beyond – A Vision for Tomorrow?
It is about spiritually renewing our faith and looking for the way God is going to enrich the life and future of our church when we exercise our faith. Although money is a big part of a project like this, the main focus of our project is about each one of us seeking God and being obedient to His voice.
Why have we entered into this project at this time?
The Vision! God is doing amazing things at Trinity. Some of our greatest challenges are providing adequate space for our children and our church families to experience community. Amazingly, now is one of the best times to do a project like this. The cost of construction and materials are lower than they've been in many years. God is calling His people to respond. If not us, who? If not now, when? "If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done." -Ecclesiastes 11:4 (TLB)
Will all the building be done at one time?
The master plan for the church campus is quite extensive and will be done in phases. This initial phase will focus on the Children's Building, the Chapel and the Welcome Center.
Will a project like this affect general giving?
As believers, to give a 10% tithe of our income to our church is biblical obedience. Beyond is the opportunity for every believer to sacrificially give above their tithe to further the Kingdom of God in a tangible way. King David demonstrated his understanding of sacrificial giving in 2 Samuel 24:24 when he said, "I will not offer to God that which costs me nothing." The only expectation is that each family pray and ask God what He would have them give. Trinity has been and will continue to be supported through the faithful giving of our church family. Our emphasis on the ministries and mission will remain constant even though we are going to be involved in Beyond over the next three years.
Will my pledge be confidential?
Yes, unless you choose to share this information with others. This is a covenant between you and God.
What happens to ministry & office space?
During the construction, the ministries taking place in the impacted areas will be relocated to our University campus. In addition, we have relocated our administrative offices to 7008 Salem Ave.
What about the school?
A parallel process of planning for School facilities has been done. The first step in that plan was completed in October 2011 with the 4, 5, 6 grade students moving into a newly constructed Elementary School building located at the south end of the University Campus.
In What order will the construction be done?
Our current plans are to begin the work in the following order:
- Current phase - Kids Place, Trinity Central & New Chapel
- Future phase - Renovate the Sanctuary and lower floor Youth area
- Future phase - Ed 1 remodel – Adult education space and administrative offices
How are we going to pay for this? Will we have debt?
We are going to pay for this through the generous contributions of our members during the BEYOND giving emphasis. We believe that the resources for this project have been entrusted to our members and as they release that into the work of the Lord, we will have all that is needed to fund the work.
We have recently initiated a construction loan that enables us to fund the project during construction without experiencing any delays in the work. Once construction is complete, if required, we will enter into a loan with a pay back period as short as possible.

Can I change my commitment once it is made?
Yes, of course. It is your commitment. However, just as the original commitment was made in prayer and by God's guidance, the decision to change should only be made after diligent prayer. "God is not the author of confusion." I Corinthians 14:33 NIV.
How much is this going to cost?
Beyond is a Master Plan for new and renovated facilities. It is intended to be done over the process of several years. We will work on the plan in phases. We are prioritizing our ministry to the next generation (children and families) and will begin the work with Kids Place, the Chapel and Trinity Central. The first phase will be $13.7 million. We anticipate the total Master Plan cost to be between $19 and $25 million.
